Living in New York City requires alot of warmth and style and I found it today when I visited The legendary RITZ Fur Store that was established in 1934 and is run by the nicest people. Jeffrey Geters and Keith Tauber are the owners and Shelly Gurton is a valued employee and of course great customer!
I had known about Ritz Furs for years from my dear friend and longtime bookkeeper, Margie Kraker-Funch (now working remotely from her new home in New Mexico)–yet I had never gone there.
I was in for a great surprise– the furs are truly beautiful and the service is exceptional and always with a smile! I ended up walking out being the proud owner of two new coats and can't wait until I pick them up in a week!
For over 70 years, The Ritz has been dressing women in any type of fur coat that one can imagine-from vintage to modern day classic and beyond. They used to be known as The Ritz Thrift Shop and although now they are Ritz Furs, their philosophy remains the same.
They truly live by their tag line–"You don't have to spend a million, to look like a million!"
If you would like to have fun, a great experience and buy something you will truly love— (it IS the holiday season—)—visit them at 345 Seventh Avenue, on the 9th floor in New York City 10001-right between 29th and 30th Street. They also trade in furs you already own–so you can "shop" in your closet–and take in the old and come out with something new!
If you want to call first—-speak to either Jeffrey or Keith—212-265-4559 or email [email protected]
Stay warm and stylish!
