Working with The Boy Scouts Honoring Top Women

Boy_scout_lunch This past week I had the great honor to be co-chairperson for the 2008 Distinguished Women of the Year awards luncheon for the Greater New York Councils, Boy Scouts of America. It was a wonderful event honoring two very extraordinary executives, Carrrie S. Cox; Executive Vice President and President, Global Pharmaceuticals of Schering-Plough Corporation and Wendy Mostler; Executive Vice President of Miller Global Properties LLC.

Both of these women are true leaders in their work and their communities and were clearly recognized and admired by their peers and colleagues.

It is great to be on the board myself of such a terrific organization that works every day to turn ordinary kids into extraordinary leaders!

As I said when I was the keynote speaker for the annual meeting of the Scout Councils, if everyone lived by the Boy Scouts principles and also did ‘ a good deed daily, we would certainly live in an ideal world!

Congratulations again to Carrie and Wendy!
