I recently saw my good friend Lauren Garvey who is Vice President at MMGMardiks www.mmgmardiks.com, a full service Public Relations firm focused on travel and tourism and also the recent Jackpot winner at Atlantic City!! I recently had the great chance to meet Lauren’s wonderful parents–Barbara, her mother who is terrific and her step father Jack-who is also amazing!!
How did these two terrific people meet—10 years ago when ‘on line love’ was just beginning and it "was not yet socially accepted"–they each ventured onto the World Wide Web. At the time Barbara lived in New Jersey and Jack in South Carolina so you may be wondering how did they meet? On a plane by mere chance: Well yes–these two were connected through the Internet on AOL and met in an over 50’s chatroom. Upon meeting for the first time months later after chatting by phone, Jack packed up his bags, put his house up for sale and moved to the garden state-New Jersey. And this year they are celebrating 10 years of wedded bliss! So in life, you never know!!
Just be careful—Barbara and Jack were lucky and a great match—maybe this is a good luck sign for alot of the rest of us….
