With the election only weeks away and a new administration moving in–I also found out that today–October 13, 2008 is the birthday of the White House.
The cornerstone of the White House, the symbol of the American presidency, was laid in 1792! There are 132 rooms, 35 bathrooms, and 6 levels in the Residence. There are also 412 doors, 147 windows, 28 fireplaces, 8 staircases, and 3 elevators.
So–don’t complain when you have to clean your own house or apartment!!
