For the last nine years, every few months I have the opportunity to do a workshop on "Effective Networking Skills and Practices for Life" for the wonderful students at Baruch's Weissman Center for International Studies. Founded in 1994, the Weissman Center is designed to enable Baruch College to respond to the global economy with programs appropriate to a preeminent school of business.
I always meet young people from all over the world who come to New York to study finance and marketing and I get to learn from all of them.
Tonight with my terrific friend and client, Beth Miller (seated), we had another great class and at the end I wanted to take a picture of some of our future leaders. Our sessions are always very interactive and over the years, some of my class members have become clients.
I always learn something from Beth and tonight she started off the evening by coining the term 'Lightbulb Moments" which I loved and what it is truly all about.
