One of my favorite blogs is by my friend, Julia Martella who saves us alot of time by continually reading and reporting on the best books we should then buy or get from the library.I have been referring Julia's blog to many people– and here is a bit of her 'Why' for writing "Julia Reads" http://julia-reads.blogspot.com
"A wise man once said, “I cannot live without my books”. I know the feeling. I spent most of my free time reading, including my lunch hour, the line at the DMV, and my husband’s freakishly long trips to the hardware store. So when my husband suggested I write about what I read – “since you’re going to be reading them anyway” – I took him up on his offer, and "Julia Reads" was formed. Basically, I read the books you heard all about (and some of the ones you haven’t) and write reviews to let you know if they’re worth picking up. The books range from new releases at the top of the best-sellers list to obscure books from the publisher’s close-out table – or books that haven’t been printed since the 1950’s. My goal is to start a conversation about literature of all kinds – and to get people interested in reading again, whether its high art or pulp fiction."
Julia is spreading the joy of reading and she does it so very well!! Visit her blog at
