Gold and Silver Apples To Very Special People

Silver Apple picture   Scan0008 (2) Lambert_Jon portrait

On November 7, 2008 two very special people will be honored by the Direct Marketing Club of New York.

Jim Prendergast who is truly the Godfather of Direct Marketing  and a long time friend through my career in the industry will be honored for 50 years of service. He is everyone's mentor and has been THE person to go to for everything in the business. He has been a Professor of Marketing for years at Baruch College and I always get the opportunity to speak at his class and his students adore him!  Jim was also someone who truly believed in me when I started my business 15 years ago and had me speak for the different associations of which he was the Executive Director!

Smiling next to Jim, is my very dear and special friend Jon Lambert-Chairman of ACTON, International with offices in the US, Tokyo, Osaka, Germany and Brazil. Jon truly introduced me to the world of travel as he spends more time visiting his clients and offices around the world then anyone I know. He is a wonderful and caring person and truly deserves this honor. He is funny and witty and I especially remember how he was there for me when both of my dear parents passed and for that I am truly indebted always.

The Silver Apple Awards honor the industry's most distinguished achievers–and leaders who have made strides not only within their areas of expertise, but who have also generously contributed their time and talent in giving back for 25 years or more.

Both Jim and Jon-truly deserve this recognition and I salute them both!!!

Congratulations!!!
