From Crains to Hadassah

Haddassah_picture Last night I had a great opportunity to speak before a group of professional women at the Haddassah in White Plains, New York. Besides becoming a life time member of this organization of which my wonderful Mother was for years, this was also a great networking story.

I met Ella Newman when she was a banker at The Bank of New York at a Crain’s business breakfast about four years ago. She is now at Merrill Lynch continuing to grow her already strong business.

We have stayed in touch and always run into each other at a favorite eating spot in New York–The Brasserie. Ella put this program together a year ago and what made it special was the synergy in the room, the connections and reconnection’s made and the power of staying in touch and giving back.

All of this happened because of what I call "networking in motion".

Continue to make a difference and every day -find a way to reach out and make something happen.
