Fashion Institute of Technology in New York Has A Great Group of Future Leaders

Fit_picture_jpeg Last week I had a great opportunity to speak with the future fashionistas of The Fashion Institute of Technology. There were more than 50 talented and dynamic students who represented the schools of art and design and business and technology.

All of them are in the process of completing their internships before graduation. As they are honing their business skills and creating solid contacts and connections-‘networking’ is an integral part of the process.

I was happy to be part of their program and give them a few tips and techniques on their way to success.

FIT prepares students for professional excellence in design, fashion and business by providing the premier educational experience that fosters creativity, career focus and a global perspective. They are truly  a ‘full service’ educational institution.

It was great to hear your words of wisdom and great tips. I am going to try really to use your advice in the workplace and even outside of the workplace, because networking happens all the time.

Thank you for taking the time to speak to all of us last week! Your presentation motivated me to continue creating meaningful relationships, whether it be personal or for business. I’m going out to buy some more “note cards.” šŸ˜‰

Thank you so much for coming in and talking to all of us. I find it amazing that you can graciously take time daily to maintain your relationships and contacts. It is something that is simple, but usually forgotten.
I really liked what you said about listening, I need to work on using my ears and mouth proportionally.
Once again thanks for all of your great tips and suggestions,
