Everything from Office Attire to Office Politics

Photo
Landing back in the city Tuesday evening in time to attend and speak at another great Financial Women's Association event and this one was for the Emerging Leaders division and was on Business Etiquette where we covered alot of ground such as:

Networking/job search etiquette

Appropriate office attire

Managing up and/or down

How to tactfully ask for help

How to finesse awkward/embarrassing moments

Handling firings/downsizing of colleagues

We had alot of interesting dialogue and interaction as we had such a cross section of terrific women and everyone had a comment and or thought on all we discussed.

I was lucky to meet so many new terrific professionals and also saw some old friends.

In this picture, I'm with Sarah Cundiff on my right who is an MBA candidate from John Molson School of Business in Montreal and President of the JMSB Women in Business Club and  Mary Ann Grossman who is someone I respect and admire for many years– an Executive in Financial and the Non profit world and the chairman of many committees of the FWA.

It was a great and fun event!
