Customer Service….Naples gets my vote!

Although Pershing Square restaurant is always packed and the food is ok–and it is a great meeting place in midtown Manhattan, this experience will always be top of mind to me.

I met a friend and colleague- Adrian Miller www.adrianmiller.comProfessional sales trainer and business consultant, author, entrepreneur. for a cup of coffee at 10:30 am.

The dining room was closing at 10:45 and there were open seats and Adrian was eating a late breakfast and since I had just come from another breakfast, I only wanted a cup of tea.  We were denied service at our table–the reason 'this is the dining room' and you must move to the front area of the restaurant.

Again–it wasn't about ordering food that I didn't want or that we were trying to go against the policy– it was clearly a lack of common sense on their part.We both go there several times a month, we bring other people and it was mid morning when the dining room was closing to prepare for lunch.

Again -just a case of customer service gone wrong–and makes me want to continue to always go to Naples in Grand Central which is my favorite where any time I go–I am always greeted with a smile and a table.
