When you want a delicious and truly different Northern Italian meal, you must go to Marchi’s located in a charming brownstone right in midtown Manhattan!
It has been a New York legend since 1930 and there is ‘no sign outside or menu inside".
What you experience is almost a feeling of being in Italy and in the summer, the outside garden is truly spectacular!
The restaurant is a true family affair-because it was founded 78 years ago by Signor and Signora Marchi and now their sons Mario, John and Robert continue to carry on the tradition of this restaurant.
I came to know about Marchi’s in several ‘networking’ ways!
*My good friend Bernie Rubin who is in the real estate business and we also live in the same building told me about the restaurant because it is owned by her sister’ Christine and her husband Mario.
*Then at one of my Rotary meetings in New York, who do I meet several months later —Christine herself who is also a Rotarian and then we put two and two together– and realized the ‘small world’ connection!! Chris is terrific and I always see her at our meetings.

It is the perfect place for any kind of party, gathering -corporate or social!
You will love it and feel like a guest as soon as you walk in!
Andrea:
I loved reading about Marchi’s Restaurant in NYC. My dad loved that place and I remember him taking our family there probably 35 years ago for the first time. He was so excited about the elegance, the style, the ambience and the fact that they ALWAYs have the same menu…every single night…and I believe they have from the beginning. And yet it is such a joyous place with wonderful service and great food in abundance, that no matter how many times one dines there it is always like a new experience. It’s a wonderful restaurant when you want to enjoy an evenng out with a group of friends or business associates. We went back with my dad many times over the years. If my father were alive today I would send him your Blog so that he could read about Marchi’s and I know he would smile and say, “See I told you it was a great place to go!” Isn’t it nice to know that some things do stay the same!!
Thanks for sharing!
