"Patrick Malloy is my GO TO person at Barnes &Noble–he is the one I refer everyone for all corporate orders for my books and I know that I can rest assured that he will get the job done.
Patrick is the Corporate Sales Manager for Barnes & Noble at the Citigroup Store in New York City.He is terrific to work with and his attention to detail to all orders is outstanding.
He can get my books to anyone in the United States in a day or so using UPS.You can email him at [email protected] or call him at 212-750-8033.
When you want to order any books at all, let Patrick take the job "off your hands."
This post is for Andrea Nierenberg.
I am a teacher for the DOE. Mr. Malloy was so kind to me. I met him at BN. He became my go to guy for a set of workbooks I needed for my students I payed for.
I eventually found out he was part of the corporate division but he took good care of me always. He would send me some extra treats for my students and a great teacher bag. I still have it. I remember him as being a tall friendly gentleman. He was always so kind and attentive. I moved to Queens so I would email him and he’d reply expediently. Later we would settle up on the phone. He remembered me always. One September I saw his store was closed. I tried to contact him to see if he was at another location. I figured his email was no longer available since it was associated with that store. I was sad but I understood that’s how business goes. After a couple of years I researched and read he passed away. :(. I was heartbroken.
Today my sister told me about Barnes and Noble having a special for educators. I thought of Patrick Malloy. I looked him up to discover his obituary. I’m crushed. I too lost my boyfriends mother from ALS the same year. I have no words only that God has another angel with him.
I hope you get to read this Ms. Andrea Nierenberg. I know you know how special Patrick was. I saw what you wrote about him. I wish I had known. I would have liked to say good bye and send my condolences to his family.
I’m not sure it’s ok to reach out to them now. I still feel the loss of my boyfriends mother. I don’t want to upset them.
This is from his obituary:
Patrick J. Malloy, III died, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Deer Meadows in Philadelphia. from a long and courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig Disease) for which he became a strong advocate to find a cure. He was 58.
You can find the rest of his obituary online. He lived an amazing life but sadly passed away from a disease that is devastatingly unforgiving.
