This happy and smiling young man is George Cognard—who I feel as though I have know since he was born 8 years ago!
Last night, I took his wonderful parents- Vanessa and George to dinner at the Friars club and as we were talking, I realized that I have known Vanessa for 8 years because when I worked with her and her sales team at Crain’s New York Business, she had just given birth to George! Look at him now!!
Over the years, Vanessa who is amazing and was the Advertising Director of Crain’s and I have stayed in touch and become great friends and just a year ago, she went to work at The Wall Street Journal (which I have been reading since I was 16 years old–It was my father’s business bible and he taught me well!) She is a true asset there bringing her incredible talent and drive.
Anyone who meets Vanessa automatically loves her! I also had heard about her terrific husband George over the years and finally got to meet him at our dinner. He is funny, incredibly bright ,witty and has been with Verizon for many years and is a true professional in all ways. He, also is the type of person that as soon as you meet him;-he is a friend.
Vanessa and George are a perfect and wonderful couple and it is no surprise that George Junior is a super terrific young man! Again–take a look at that smile!!!! 🙂
