When I was a speaker in 2007 at the National meeting for The Association for Fundraising Professials, Scot Scala (above and in the picture) attended the program. www.scala-associates.com
At that time, we did not have the opportunity to meet and Scot emailed me a few months ago and started to process to have me lead a workshop on Strategic Networking for the NonProfit Professional that took place today in Hartford, Ct.
It was for a great organization –The Development Consortium of Greater New Britain. They are a membership collaborative of nonprofit organizations and professional advisors who focus their efforts on promoting philanthropy, collaboration and best practices in development. The group is composed primarily of organizations and professionals located in Berlin, New Britain, Plainville and Southington,Ct.
After a great workshop with alot of interaction and collaboration from the members, several of us had lunch that was hosted by Ann Bova (above and in the middle), of The Community Foundation of Greater New Britain.
Also at the lunch at the left was Laura Marchese of Central Connecticut State University and Gina Marcantonio-Wotton (seated next to Scot) of the Visiting Nurse Association of Central Connecticut.
A lively and fun discussion and meeting with a terrific group of wonderful people working together.
