Creating “Chemistry” as You Pursue Your Career

Picture2

With the job market for executives always being a challenge, it is critical to be sure to fit the right person with the right position and culture–so often clients turn to someone they know who will make this type of chemistry happen.

Rick Linde is someone who I have known for years-we met when he was giving a presentation on Networking to his church for some of the folks in between positions and had referenced one of my books. He is a great person and professional.

Rick launched Chemistry Executive Search as a boutique search firm specializing in senior-level search in media, entertainment and technology. His main focus has been on digital media.

Before starting his own firm, Rick founded the media practice at Battalia Winston and established it over 15 years as one of the preeminent competitors in the industry, including Walt Disney and Sony to venture-backed start-ups.

His experience spans all functional areas within media, entertainment and technology. Most recently, his work has been to help established companies improve their management teams in digital media, and he has made it his business to get to know the senior-level talent in this universe.

Rick has a long career in the search business starting at Russell Reynolds Associates and after his graduation from Tufts University and  MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern. Before he started in search, he worked in marketing at Pepsi-Cola and Nabisco brands and then embarked on his search career.

He was also named one of America's top executive recruiters in The Career Makers, a nationally recognized book based on a nationwide survey of clients and peers in the industry.

He and his family live in New York City on the upper west side and being an athlete, who has run three marathons–he is an avid bicycle commuter for the last 20 years. I can vouch for this, every time we meet for breakfast, he rides their on his bike–in ANY type of weather and is always dressed appropriately!

Rick is someone I highly recommend–he is a real pro in his business and knows how to communicate and connect with people.
