Tonight I took my dear cousin, Helen Ray Budelli (my second cousin and my Mom's first) and dear friend to one of my favorite restaurants in New York City. We were celebrating Helen's birthday and of course, the holiday season.
Marchis's which is a true dining experience and located right at 250 East 31st Street.
There is no sign outside and no menu inside—yet you will be served more delicious food than you can imagine!
The restaurant's owner Christine Marchi is one of my good friends from the New York Rotary and she and her wonderful husband Mario are the most amazing hosts. You feel like you are truly a guest in their home.Marchi's Restaurant is a family affair. Signor and Signora Marchi founded this charming restaurant more than 80 years ago. Their sons, Mario, John, and Robert, now carry on the tradition of this great restaurant.
Here I am with Helen and our great server-Martine, who has been with Marchi's for over 21 years.
Truly delicious -this is not your regular Northern Italian cuisine.

Marchi's is something you might find abroad- but certainly not just off 2nd Avenue at 31st Street. Instead of me writing more–visit their website www.marchirestaurant.com or call Christine at 212-679-2494 and experience for yourself.
Right now, I have to relax because in this wonderful restaurant, there is no such thing as 'portion control!'
