Healing Autism in the Kitchen–A Wonderful book by a Terrific Doctor

Images
I had such lovely breakfast with Dr. Annette Cartaxo, who is a board certified pediatrician who is the Vice Chief of Pediatrics at Newton Memorial Hospital in Newton, N.J. As a Developmental/Behavioral pediatrician who for many years incorporated nutritional medicine in her practice–especially those children with special needs, she has written a wonderful book that is called "Healing Autism in the Kitchen". The book provides the necessary tools and guidelines for parents and introduces them to the fundamentals of wholesome cooking.

Dr. Cartaxo is a strong supporter and member of The American College of Nutrition and frequently lectures on the positive impact of wholesome nutrition plays on those individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Disorder.

We met several months ago when I was a speaker at the Morristown Chamber of Commerce and she truly is a remarkable person and physician.

The book, although specifically designed for Special needs has the most delicious and interesting recipes that Annette gave me a copy and I look forward to trying some out.

Take a look on Amazon and check it out–it is truly a valuable resource.
