Today I received a note back from Jeff Zaslow who writes a wonderful column in the Wall Street Journal-Personal section.
I had written to him after his moving article last week about my good friend Paul Schaye who is an inspiration to us all with his motivating battle with cancer that he found out he had only this past October in between continual triathelons and also running his own investment banking firm.
Paul is a thriver–and his major challenge as he continues to beat all odds is the Pan -Mass Challenge which he has supported for the last nine years. It is a 192 mile cycling event that raises money in support of the Jimmy Fund and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
This year it means more then ever and Paul has formed Paul’s Posse where over 40 of his friends are riding with him on August 4 all 192 miles. I was going to ride also–however—I know that I would never last more then 5 miles…so I’m commited to spreading the word to everyone I know to help.
So far The Pan Mass Challenge has raised over $170 million for cancer research and I know this year with Paul’s posse, there will tremendous strides made.
Take a look at www.paulsposse.com to read about this amazing man yourself.
I want to thank Jeff Zaslow publicly again–for his article that has received such an overwhelming response and also personally for taking the time to write back to me to say thank you.
