Look Ex-Pen-Sive—I always say that our appearance speaks volumes and when we are ‘networking’ and going through our everyday life, be sure to carry a nice pen. It is part of our image and when you pull it out to write a note or a memo, it looks great and is part of what gets remembered about us. When I met Ivy Pappas who is a wonderful person and terrific and seasoned financial advisor during a workshop, she remembered what I said about the pen and that was her take away from the class. She later told her husband Peter who liked the idea and presented her on her birthday with the most amazing and very expensive Cartier pen!! I’m not saying that we all will be so lucky to get that pen—however you never know! Be sure to carry one that makes you feel great when you take it out and use it.
Today–go get a new pen and start writing notes to people to say thank you and notes to remember what you need to follow through and up on!
