Today I had the great honor to walk again in Chicago for Pancreatic Cancer Research with my college friend Gail Zugarman who got involved with the Lustgarten Foundation after the passing of her wonderful mother 6 years ago.
Gail(in the middle of the picture with the purple jacket) who runs her own very successful marketing research organization-GRF Marketing-www.seniorsessions.com has spearheaded the development and growth of the Chicago chapter and to date has raised over $600,000 and that is not counting what came in today! She and her terrific husband, Charlie Zugarman (far left in picture)who is one of the most esteemed dermatologists in the country and also a wonderful person hosted a great brunch after the walk and before my flight back to New York.
We had a great group walking for Team Zugarman including Linda Mensch who besides being a terrific entertainment attorney www.menschlaw.com , is also very involved with several non profits which I could tell as we were walking the 4 miles today is extremely passionate and devoted to their cause.
In the last year alone, I have lost 5 friends and colleagues to Pancreatic cancer. I will do anything to help find a cure for this dreaded disease and for all cancers in general.
Think of the people in your life who have been touched by any type of cancer (we all have) and reach into your pocket and whatever the donation–give so that other people will have a chance to live a little brighter life.
