Enhance the Lives of Those In Need In a Very Spiritual Way

Logo-02orange

Through a great person, Seth Diamond who I met many moons ago when I was teaching the Dale Carnegie class and who is an amazing entrepreneur and health enthusiast— I met a terrific woman who is making a difference and changing the lives of so many people.

Geri Topfer is the founder and board president of Kula for Karma www.kulaforkarma.org

Kula for Karma, Kula for Karma, a NJ-based non-profit organization, is bringing together top health professionals in the fields of integrative medicine, holistic nutrition, addiction recovery, and cancer treatment to discuss the mind-body connection for healing. “Kula for Karma, is committed to creating a vibrant community of accessible, integrative professionals,” says Penni Feiner, executive director.  “Our shared vision is to embrace non-traditional modalities of healing and offer hope and empowerment along the journey to wellness.”

Kula for Karma offers yoga, nutritional and therapeutic support services, at no charge, to hundreds of people in the New York/ Metropolitan area, Northern New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania. "Many of the people served have been challenged by difficult life circumstances, such as illness, abuse or addiction. Our programs give them the freedom to heal, share, and love," says Geri Topfer, founder. "The people we serve would otherwise have no access to yoga and its emotional, physical, and spiritual benefits."

I encourage you to visit Geri's website and look at all the amazing work her organization has done in just a very short time.

A brief snapshot of Kula for Karma is that it has grown from 12 to over 35 programs in the past year.

In her words:"Everyday our programs transform the lives of an unprecedented diverse group of people. Our programs include: programs serving children with autism, children and teens with cancer, at -risk teens in group homes, wheel-chair bound seniors at senior facilities, men and women with HIV/AIDS, women with cancer, victims of domestic violence and sex trafficking, and wounded combat veterans from Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan!!

Because our services focus on relieving stress, anxiety and PTSD symptoms for many our populations, and are offered at no cost, our programs are in high demand…what we do is working and it's evident by the growth of our programs and extraordinary partnerships we've formed with traditional therapeutic programs and non-profit organizations. We believe in the effectiveness of collaboration!!

The tools and techniques our participants learn throughout the sessions are completely transformative and mobile; they can take them anywhere and utilize them in their lives throughout any crisis. We feel it's so necessary to get the word out there that there are alternative and complimentary methods of healing..

The mission, vision, and goals of all our programs are to serve those in need in our own communities and to inspire and empower all of us to serve others using our own gifts and following our passion!! Most of us want to help others and make a positive impact in our communities, and since we are  a volunteer -driven organizations, we offer that to those who want to give back and serve others…It's a win-win!!
